Bluebeard reimagines and rediscovers our links to folklore, myth and our ancient histories in bold pen and ink images. The land, its peoples, spirits and memories are represented in ways which challenge us to re-remember who we are.

In Star Carr, North Yorkshire an archaeological dig discovered mesolithic remains including headdresses or "frontlets" made of stag skulls. There is no way to be sure what their purpose was but I found myself mesmerised by the possibilities, "Crown" is not a drawing of any one of these headdresses but my homage to how they make me feel.
