Dracula Parrot print

This magnificent black and red parrot was a beautiful revelation to me when I first discovered that it even existed. I was so impressed that, to do it justice, I worked on an even larger scale than I normally do, turning it into over 80 hours work. In another recent first for me, as you can see, there is a big bright burst of colour, which is my first use of a coloured ink wash in one of my pictures. Being colour-blind made this especially challenging and I have to credit the staff at Cass Art in Birmingham, without whom I could never have found the perfect colour.
