Leo

Another in my series of pictures representing the signs of the zodiac in my style. Leo, the lion, is represented in dotwork style in the form of a centurion's helmet decorated with a lion's head surrounded by alchemical and astrological symbols and the Leo constellation.

Leo's aren't afraid of being noticed, and this can be presented as anything between standing up for others, to being unashamed attention seekers. One result of this is that reactions to them can be polarised- people love them or they hate them, so, in terms of my image, they could end up as the victorious warrior dressed with a helmet decorate with a lion's pelt, or they get shot between the eyes and become the pelt used to decorate the helmet.

This image is Giclee printed on 315gsm Natural Soft Textured paper, which is 100% acid free and accredited by the Fine Art Trade Guild as of "archival quality" giving an image life of 85+ years.
